Dr. Charles Ponquinette Scholarship

Through the governance of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley Scholarship Program, the AEEF is proud to sponsor the Dr. Charles Ponquinette Scholarship.

Named in honor of the former Superintendent of Schools and a Founding Member of the Aurora East Educational Foundation, Dr. Charles Ponquinette , the scholarship is geared towards graduates of East Aurora High School who will begin their post-secondary education at a community college or vocational school.

Dr. Charles Ponquinette served as Superintendent of Schools for East Aurora School District 131 from 1984 until his retirement in 2001. During his tenure, he was a champion for educational excellence and an advocate of attaining success through high school and college graduation. Recognizing the need for diverse opportunities for our students, Ponquinette established post-secondary partnerships with the local universities, community colleges and vocational schools.
