" I became interested in working with District 131 in the 80s during the district’s struggle to pass an Education Fund Referendum. In 1993, I made the decision to become a part of the solution to ensure that the student in East Aurora School District 131 had the necessary tools to be competitive in their college selections and be able to provide for the families. As I began my 15th year as a Board Member for District 131, these same concerns are why I continue to run for reelection".
