PROFESSION: I work in Aurora at the Henry Pratt Company.  I have been employed there for over thirty years and have spent the last eight years as the Purchasing Manager. In this capacity I have to manage day to day activities, budgets, personnel issues and also get involved in a lot of team projects. I think this experience will make me an asset as a Board member.

EDUCATION/LIFE EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: Ms. Lewis is a 2009 Graduate of DePaul University of which she is very proud, education is a lifelong journey.

She has always been an active parent and volunteer, coaching park district soccer, helping with fundraisers and serving on the Band Booster Board for several years.

EA PERSONAL CONNECTIONS

Although I did not graduate from East, I have lived on the near East Side all of my adult life and have had two children go through District 131. My oldest daughter, Sarah, graduated in 1998 from East and has two children attending Dietrich Elementary.  My second daughter, Rebecca, a 2007 graduate of East is currently enrolled at the University of Illinois.

I feel quite strongly that my family has benefited from their EA education and I would like to see the district continue with what we have and also to become stronger.
