EDUCATION/LIFE EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: Ms. Carlson is a 1971 East Aurora High School graduate. Through her advocacy for East Aurora Schools, Ms. Carlson has served on many committees, booster groups, and is a member of the East Aurora Alumni Association. She has also volunteered with local youth organizations and has served on her union’s executive board.

EA PERSONAL CONNECTIONS: Ms. Carlon is a proud 1971 graduate of East Aurora High School. Most of her family (siblings, parents, aunts & uncles) attended and graduated from schools in District 131. Ms. Carlson has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Her son Michael is a 1992 graduate of EAHS. He is a biologist for the United States government. Her twins, Jacob and Diane, are 2005 graduates from EAHS. Jacob is attending Columbia College in Chicago majoring in Music Theater and Diane (Dee-Dee) is working and raising her daughter, Jayme, who will be a Class of 2025 graduate from EAHS! Ms. Carlson is a resident of a 3rd ward and part of the Southeast Neighbors Neighborhood group.

As a single working parent, and a granddaughter of immigrants, I feel I am able to well represent the community in which I am a lifelong resident".
