EDUCATION/LIFE EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: Growing up in a family that moved frequently, Mrs. Farnum learned the most in small South Dakota schools. She graduated from Appleton High School in Appleton, WI and has attended colleges in California, Texas, Ohio, and Illinois. She and her husband, Dan, have raised seven sons and fostered many more children all while working in heavy industry and as an energy analyst. Mr. and Mrs. Farnum have been married for well over 50 years! In her spare time, she is a Commissioner for the Aurora Township Youth Advisory Board, an officer for the Friends of Phillips Park, the Aurora Woman’s Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

EA PERSONAL CONNECTIONS: Mrs. Farnum served for several years on the LPDC which afforded her the opportunity to develop personal bonds with East Aurora staff, whom she proudly proclaims are the ‘most outstanding teachers in this world!’ She and her husband live in the Belles Terres Condos on Farnsworth. 

"I decided to run for the East Aurora Board of Education I had successfully raised all of my own children. Since they were all adults, I would have the time to honor my commitments as a member of the school board. I totally believe in the concept and execution of the public education system".
