EDUCATION/LIFE EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES:
I began my thirty first year of employment with the water and sewer division of the City of Aurora on December 17, 2009. Over that period of time I have held many positions including laborer, machine operator, labor supervisor, and assistant superintendent. I had the privilege to represent both the Labor Union and Supervisors Association during labor negotiations as president over a 16 year period.
I have served the Aurora community through various non profit organizations including United Way, Big Brothers/Sisters, Aurora Neighborhood baseball, and Aurora Community Study Circles and most importantly I spent the last five years as an assistant or Minister of the Children Ministry at Main Baptist Church.
Currently, I hold a chair as Water and Sewer Director on the Board of Directors for the J.U.L.I.E Corporation. I hold many professional certifications and will receive my BS in Business Management this summer from the University of Phoenix (Warrenville).
EA PERSONAL CONNECTIONS:
I am a 33 year resident of district 131, my wife is a Tomcat, my eldest son attended Cowherd MS and East High for 3 years and I have two grandchildren currently attending D131 elementary schools.
