The National Championship East Aurora NJROTC Drill Team will be a star attraction in the Village of Montgomery’s annual Montgomery Fest Parade this weekend.
The parade will step off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12 near the intersection of Main Street and Mill Street in Downtown Montgomery.
“We are so excited to have them aboard! What an accomplishment to be the National Champs,” said Ruth Maloy, Montgomery Deputy Clerk.
At the National High School Drill Team Championship held in May, the East Aurora Drill Team claimed two National Championship titles in Armed Inspection Exhibition and Unarmed Basic Exhibition. The Tomcats competed against 112 other schools from throughout the country.
The Montgomery Parade is free and open to the public.
