(Aurora) - The East Aurora Magnet Academy will host its inaugural Awards and Honors Reception tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Awards will be presented to the outstanding Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Physical Education students of the year.
In addition, each 8th grade student will honor individuals who have made a significant impact on their lives and who have helped to prepare them for success in high school and beyond.
The Magnet Academy 8th grade students are: Jose Caballero, Xiomara Cardona, Selina Cervantes, Noel Corral, Katie Coltharp, Donielle Cotto, Taliyah Currie, Diego Esquivel, Alexia Jones, Leonel Lopez, Chris Maglaris, Jalen Maxey, Mariah Mayo, Bobbi McKennie, Jose Miranda, Annabelle Pisciotta, Monica Ramirez, Mariela Saenz, Jacqueline Salazar, Hannah Snyder, Jessica Soto, and Erik Strand.
Adults who will be honored are: Marguetia Caballero, Meghan Callahan, Mary Carr, Yolanda Cifuentes, Sharlene Coltharp, Shontrece Dupree-Wilson, Elizabeth Hardy, Ms. Jackson, Mark Levi, Darren McArdle, Selene Miranda, Clayton Muhammad, Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, Rory Schlarb, Tonya Schmidt, Collette Taylor, Kelley Trevizo, and Alison Tworek.
The reception will be hosted at the East Aurora Magnet Academy located in the Fred Rodgers Community Center at 501 College Avenue.
The annual Magnet Academy 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the same location.
