Nearly 100 freshmen will be recognized during the 2012 Catskills Awards Ceremony on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Aurora High School Freshmen Center
The Catskills Summer Program is a six week summer initiative that provides the nearly 100 incoming Tomcats of the EAHS Class of 2016 with a wide variety of learning opportunities.
During the course of the program, students work to increase English and Math skills through research-based computer programs while also receiving academic strategies, career exploration opportunities, financial literacy training, life skills training, and leadership development.
The students also had extended learning experiences through two college tours and additional career-based site visits.
“This was a great experience that inspired me to continue to do my best and strive for excellence in high school,” said one student.
The ceremony is the culminating event of the 2012 Catskills Summer Program. It is open to the public.
Visitors should enter door #42 in the Freshmen Center on Smith Blvd.
