The Board of Education approved the appointment of the Robert Pape as the new principal of Oak Park Elementary School.
Pape takes on the helm of leadership from Robin Hedrich who retired after serving as a teacher and administrator in East Aurora Schools for 31 years.
“I look forward to working together, side by side with all of the parents and teachers in an effort to help every child reach his/her fullest potential,” said Pape.
Most recently, Pape served as the principal of Blackhawk Middle School in the Bensenville School District. Prior to that position, he was the principal of Army Trail Elementary School and the Assistant Principal of Indian Trail Junior High School both in the Addison School District.
Robert Pape received his Bachelors of Arts in Comprehensive Music Education from Roosevelt University and his Masters of Educational Leadership from Aurora University in 1998.
