Former Chicago Bear and East Aurora football coach Kurt Becker, is among eight valley prep and college football coaches who will preview their teams’ season prospects on Wednesday, August, 29, 2012.
The Aurora Noon Lions Club will hold its eighth annual Football Coaches’ Night and fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora. The event includes a social hour from 6:30 to 7 p.m., all-you-can-eat pasta and pizza dinner at 7 p.m., and the coaches' panel at 7:45 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. The public is invited.
In addition to Becker, other coaches scheduled to speak are: Nate Eimer, West Aurora High School; Gary Urwiler, Mooseheart; Dan Thorpe, Marmion Academy; Brian Casey, Aurora Central Catholic High School; Don Beebe, Aurora Christian High School; Paul Murphy, Waubonsie Valley High School; and Mark Walsh, Aurora University.
A raffle and door prizes are included. Proceeds will benefit Lions' vision and hearing-impaired programs.
