The Magnet Academy in an innovative approach to teaching and learning that is designed to focus on math, science, and technology! East Aurora School District hopes to serve a population of students who are eager to enrich and improve their education. Students will be academically challenged to apply their knowledge beyond the scope of a traditional classroom.
After successfully piloting the Magnet Academy with two grade levels during the 2008-2009 school year, the East Aurora Board of Education has approved a Four-Year implementation plan that will allow the Magnet Academy to serve all students in 3rd-12th grades by the end of the four years.
The East Aurora Magnet Academy is currently housed at three locations:
3rd through 5th grade O’Donnell Elementary School 1640 Reckinger Aurora, IL 60505
6th through 8th grade East Aurora Middle School Campus 501 College Avenue Aurora, IL 60505
9th & 10th grade East Aurora High School 500 Tomcat Lane Aurora, IL 60505
Applications are available at all schools. Please see your building principal or parent liaison. Students who will be enrolled in the 3rd through 10th grades during the 2011-2012 are eligible to apply.
