Family: I have a son, Zander, a college freshman and I am close to my parents who live in Plainfield.
Education: B.S. Psychology, M.S.E. Special Education and Education Administration license
Professional Experience: I have had a variety of roles in the field of education. While living in Wisconsin, I was a special education teacher for grades K-12, an At-Risk teacher for middle school students, and a middle school principal. More recently, in Illinois, I have been an assistant principal in Cicero and a special education coordinator with District 211.
Volunteer Activities: I work with the National At-Risk Education Network as a publications editor and serve on church committees as needed.
Hobbies/ Favorite Things: I enjoy reading, writing, theatre, music and spending time with my son. I have a 17 pound cat that has lots of attitude! Being from Wisconsin, I also have to like the Green Bay Packers at least a little bit!
