Kindergarten Students

There are two (2) ways for parents/guardians to register their child for kindergarten: in-person or online. Existing preschool students, please complete your registration online as returning students.

Incoming new kindergarten students to District 131 may complete their registration online, and upload all additional documentation required for registration. 

To register for kindergarten, a student must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2026. The EASD 131 Kindergarten program offers dual-language instruction for all students! All children district-wide will have the opportunity to learn in English and Spanish.

Online Registration

Begin Kindergarten Registration

Online registration for new students entering Kindergarten at EASD 131 in the 2026-2027 school year opens February 1st. Parent(s)/guardian(s) can complete the online registration and upload or email (enroll@d131.org) the following additional documentation to the application. Students registering online will get scheduled for language screening. 

Additional documentation:

• Birth Certificate: Original or certified copy
• Parent/guardian’s driver’s license or photo ID
• Affidavit of guardianship: If you are not the student’s parent or legal guardian and have assumed responsibility for a student for reasons other than access to the educational programs of the school district.
• Proof of Address: You must provide three (3) documents in parent/guardian’s name. See examples listed below:
  • Title evidence, mortgage papers, or lease agreement
  • Utility bill for current months: (i.e. Nicor Gas, Com Ed, Comcast, City of Aurora Water)
  • Medical card with current address
  • Green Card/Matriculate Card with current address
  • Affidavit of residency (if applicable)

Students registering online will get scheduled for language screening.
