The Board of Education of East Aurora School District 131 in Aurora, Illinois, announces the search for a new Superintendent, who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2025. This vacancy provides a unique opportunity for a dedicated and experienced educator to lead this outstanding and diverse school district into the future as it builds upon its recent successes.

District 131 is the 13th largest school district in Illinois, educating more than 12,300 students from Pre-K through High School. It is the only public-school district in Illinois that provides a district-wide Spanish dual-language program for all elementary schools. The district’s mission is to educate and empower all students to reach their full potential. The vision for the district is to ensure that students graduating from EASD 131 are confident and productive global citizens committed to improving their community guided by principles of Educational Equity, Operational Excellence, Collaborative Leadership and Student Achievement.

East Aurora School District 131, located in Aurora, Illinois, just west of Chicago, is home to a vibrant and diverse community of learners. Our district serves students across 22 schools, including two preschool centers, eleven elementary schools, one elementary magnet academy, one middle school magnet academy, one elementary STEAM academy, three middle schools, one high school, one alternative high school, and one partnership school.

Application Procedure:
Interested candidates should complete the online application process at www.bwpassociates.com by January 31, 2025.

An application should include:
● A completed applicant data form
● A letter of application indicating reasons for interest in the position
● A current resume
● College/University transcripts
● Three to four letters of recommendation
● Evidence of eligibility for a Superintendent Endorsement in Illinois or its equivalent

All requested materials must be submitted online at www.bwpassociates.com. Application materials will be treated as confidential. Applicants are requested not to contact members of the Board of Education.

A regionally competitive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate. Applicants will be informed of the Board’s selection and appointment of the new superintendent. The final selection and appointment are the sole responsibility of the Board of Education.
