East High honors two Distinguished Alumni at banquetLa Escuela Secundaria rindió homenaje a dos Distinguidos Ex alumnos en un banquete

Two acclaimed veterans were honored during Homecoming weekend as the newest members of the East Aurora High School Distinguished Alumni.

Dennis Lane (class of 1958) and Miguel “Mike” Saltijeral (class of 1986) were introduced along with their spouses, at halftime of the September 22 homecoming football game at East High.

The two acclaimed Tomcats were then honored at the Distinguished Alumni Banquet on September 23, hosted by the East Aurora Alumni Association. See more on this year’s honorees.

Our NJROTC cadets presented the colors for the event, and following lunch, Lane and Saltijeral were given commemorative plaques and officially welcomed as members of the East Aurora Distinguished Alumni.

The emotional afternoon culminated with Lane and Saltijeral unveiling their plaques at the front entrance of the high school, and East High principal Marina Kosak leading memory-filled tour for both our honorees.  

Congratulations to Denny and Mike! And special thanks to our attendees, Principal Marina Kosak, our NJROTC cadets, and our Alumni Association who hosted a beautiful banquet to honor their fellow Tomcats.

La Escuela Secundaria rindió homenaje a dos Distinguidos Ex alumnos en un banquete 

Dos aclamados veteranos recibieron homenaje durante el fin de semana de Bienvenida, como los nuevos miembros de los Distinguidos Ex Alumnos de la Escuela Secundaria.

Dennis Lane (clase de 1958) y Miguel “Mike” Saltijeral (clase de 1986) fueron presentados en compañía de sus esposas, durante el medio tiempo del juego de futbol americano en la Escuela Secundaria el 22 de septiembre.

Los dos aclamados Tomcats recibieron homenaje en el Banquete de Distinguidos Ex Alumnos, el 23 de septiembre, organizado por la Asociación de Ex Alumnos del Este de Aurora. Vea más sobre los homenajeados de este año.

 

Nuestros cadetes de NJROTC presentaron los colores de la patria en el evento, y se continuó con un almuerzo, Lane y Saltijeral recibieron placas conmemorativas y recibieron oficialmente la bienvenida como miembros de los Distinguidos Ex alumnos del Este de Aurora.

La emotiva tarde culmino cuando Lane y Saltijeral descubrieron sus placas en la entrada principal de la escuela secundaria, y la Directora de la Escuela Secundaria Marina Kosak le ofreció una visita guiada para ambos homenajeados  y para sus sus invitados.
