Fifth-grade boys' intramural basketball tournament February 24Fifth-grade boys' intramural basketball tournament February 24

East Aurora School District 131 will host a 5th grade boys intramural basketball tournament on Saturday, February 24.

Students from District 131 elementary schools will compete in the tournament held at East Aurora High School, 500 Tomcat Lane. Games will be held in the Kivisto Gymnasium (main gym), and on the courts in the Ponquinette Fieldhouse. There will be all-star game and free-throw contests prior to the start of games.

Important tournament game start-time notes:

  • The All-Star game begins at 8 a.m. with the free throw contest following. The first round of the tournament starts at 9 a.m. All other start times on the bracket are estimated start times. To eliminate idle time during the tournament, games may start before or after the posted times on the bracket.
  • After the start of the first round at 9 a.m. all other games will start 15 minutes after both teams on same bracket have finish their games. For example: if Team A and Team B are scheduled to play each other in the second round, and Team A finishes their 1st round game at 9:30 and Team B finishes their 1st round game at 9:45, the second round game will begin at 10 a.m.
  • Score keepers will start a 15-minute clock once both teams have finished their games.
  • Once the 15 minutes have expired, both teams are to report to their respective courts and the 5-minute warm-up clock will start.
  • The 30-minute break is still in affect if a team plays three consecutive games.
