Jeffrey Ryder appointed as assistant superintendent of finance, CSBOJeffrey Ryder appointed as assistant superintendent of finance, CSBO

The East Aurora School District 131 Board of Education approved the hiring of a new administrator at its regular meeting on June 18.

Mr. Jeffrey Ryder will serve as assistant superintendent of finance and chief school business official (CSBO) and will start July 2.

“We are looking forward to having Jeff join our team and serve in this important role,” said Steve Megazzini, assistant superintendent of human resources. “We’re confident that his skill set and related experiences will help him succeed in leading the day-to-day financial management for our district.”

Ryder joins District 131 after several years of experience as a director of finance at Oswego Community Unit School District 308, where he oversaw all accounting functions for the district’s 23 schools including all budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and annual audits.

Mr. Ryder received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University and his master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University. Ryder has attained several professional certificates including a chief school business official (CSBO) endorsement and a certified public accountant (CPA) license.
