The East Aurora School District 131 Board of Education will hold a special meeting and reception on May 29 to announce a new superintendent for the district.

The board will convene at 6 p.m. at East Aurora High School, 500 Tomcat Lane, Aurora.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the new superintendent to the community. Following the announcement, the community is invited to meet the new district leader by attending a welcome reception in the East High atrium.

The announcement comes after a six-month search process that began in November of 2017.

Plans are for the new superintendent to begin on July 1.
