Meet Our New Leaders

Mr. Travis Naber – Dean of Students

Location: Waldo Middle School (WMS)

Waldo Middle School has a wonderful new ally! We are excited to introduce Mr. Travis Naber as Waldo’s new Dean of Students. Mr. Naber brings 14 years of rich educational experience and a leadership philosophy that fits right into our community: building strong relationships, supporting students through every challenge, and fostering a positive school culture where everyone feels safe to succeed.

Most recently, Mr. Naber served as the Safe School Director for the DeKalb County Regional Office of Education, where he creatively developed a brand-new regional program providing structured supports for at-risk youth. His past leadership roles include serving as Principal of Indian Creek Middle School and Assistant Principal at William B. Orenic Intermediate School. Mr. Naber began his career as a middle school teacher, athletic director, and coach—experiences that still anchor his heart for connecting with students and their families.

  • Educational Background: Mr. Naber earned his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Western Governors University and his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University, and has since completed his Superintendent endorsement.
