Foundation presents donations to support students

At its Aug. 24 meeting, the District 131 Board of Education and Superintendent Robert Halverson recognized the Aurora East Educational Foundation for its continued support of students and programs across the district.

During the meeting, AEEF President Mark Michelini presented two donations. The first donation of $10,200 came from proceeds from the Consumers Credit Union Tomcat Affinity Card program, which helps AEEF support grants, scholarships and other district initiatives. The second was a $125,000 donation for the scoreboard project at East Aurora High School.

“The dedication of the AEEF board continues to create meaningful opportunities and lasting impacts across our schools, directly investing in the future of our students and community,” Halverson said.
