Even though we are not in school together at this time, Team 7B wanted to keep the
tradition of Student of the Month, because our students are awesome in and out of
school building. This month, Simmons Middle School’s Team 7B chose seven 7th Grade
students to be recognized and celebrated for their great sense of character and their
ability to demonstrate leadership qualities. March 2020 students are described by their
teachers as: diligent, determined, artistic, tranquil, go-getter, responsible and
resourceful.
Teachers nominate students on the Team 7B and vote on the candidates. Each winning
student must receive a unanimous vote that confirms their winning slot.
Typically, students selected for Students of the Month are celebrated during daily
announcements which includes a quick description written by their teachers explaining
why these students were chosen. At the end of the week students are celebrated at a
luncheon with their teachers, counselor and our administration. Since we are not able to
be together at this time, we will be sending the certificates to students via email and will
hopefully, be able to announce their names and share a lunch with them, when we all
return to the building.
