AP Scholars Recognized at Board MeetingBecarios de AP Reconocidos en Reunión de Junta Directiva

Our East Aurora High School 2024 Advanced Placement Scholars were honored at the school board meeting on Monday, September 23, 2024. It was a great night where families got to attend and see their students be recognized. 

The AP Scholar Awards recognize high school students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on AP Exams. This serves as an academic distinction for students to cite among their credentials on applications and resumes. Since 2018, East Aurora High School has doubled the number of AP courses as well as the number of students that participate. This has been accomplished without impacting the percentages of students earning scores of 3, 4, or 5.

This year, East Aurora High School has the largest number of scholars -103. The year before, the number of students was 65. Below are the descriptions to the different designations:
1. The AP Scholar with Distinction is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken; AND scores of 3 or higher on FIVE or more of these exams
2. An AP Scholar with Honor is awarded to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken; AND scores of 3 or higher on FOUR or more of these exams.
3. An AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on THREE or more AP Exams.
4. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma.
5. Students who earned scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate.

Nuestros Becarios de Colocación Avanzada de 2024 de East Aurora High School fueron homenajeados el lunes 23 de septiembre de 2024 en la reunión de la junta escolar. Fue una gran noche en la que las familias pudieron asistir y ver a sus estudiantes ser reconocidos.

Los Premios AP Scholar reconocen a los estudiantes de secundaria que han demostrado un logro ejemplar a nivel universitario en los exámenes AP. Esto sirve como una distinción académica para que los estudiantes citen entre sus credenciales en las solicitudes y currículums. Desde 2018, East Aurora High School ha duplicado la cantidad de cursos AP, así como la cantidad de estudiantes que participan.
