Bus transportation in East Aurora School District 131 began on Monday, August 28, 2017, as students began their first day of school. First Student buses arrived at East High shortly after 7 a.m. this morning, dropping off students who were greeted by school officials.

Today marks a new era, as this year is the first year District 131 is offering traditional bus service to students residing more than 1.5 miles from their home school. District 131 will provide busing for about 3,000 students qualify for bus service.  

Schools reported an overall positive first day of busing with no major issues. Normal beginning-of-year traffic congestion. Most all buses arrived either on time or in some cases, early. A couple of morning buses arrived 10 minutes late but in plenty of time for school. Some departure buses arrived late for pick up at the high school due to traffic.

Overall a very smooth first day of busing at East Aurora.
