STEMFest September 30STEMFest 30 de septiembre

Simmons Middle School students (grades 6-8) and their families are invited to attend STEMFest on Saturday, September 30 from 10 AM – 4 PM at Northern Illinois University (NIU). STEMFest celebrates science, technology, engineering and math with hands-on activities, exhibits and talks. Lunch will be provided and there will be bus transportation to and from NIU. See transportation details below.

All attendees must have a completed Parent Permission Form (please print and fill out). If a printed permission form is needed, please come to the Main Office. Only 250 students are able to attend STEMFest. Families that are interested in attending STEMFest, can contact Mechelle Patterson or Nitza Carrillo at mpatterson@d131.org or ncarrillo@d131.org.

Transportation

D131 STEMFest attendees will be asked to meet at Simmons Middle School at 8:45 AM (Door 1, 1130 Sheffer Rd. Aurora). The bus will depart to NIU at 9:15 AM. The bus will be back at Simmons Middle School at 2 PM. Los estudiantes de Simmons Middle School (grados 6-8) y sus familias están invitados a asistir a STEMFest el sábado 30 de septiembre de 10 AM – 4 PM en Northern Illinois University (NIU). STEMFest celebra la ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas con actividades prácticas, exhibiciones y charlas. El almuerzo será proporcionado y habrá transporte en autobús hacia y desde NIU. Todos los participantes deben tener un formulario de permiso de los padres completo. Si se necesita un formulario de permiso imprimido, por favor venga a la Oficina Principal.
