East Aurora High School Honors Night, May 2024

The AEEF will present 27 scholarships at the East Aurora School District 131 Honor Night, which will be held on May 28, 2024.  The president will announce the scholarship winners and their sponsors that evening, the public is welcome to attend.

Over the last eight years, the AEEF has been able to provide over $420,000 in scholarships for students.  A record number of 27 scholarships totaling $54,000 will be awarded to deserving East Aurora graduates in the spring of 2024. The 3 tiers of the AEEF Scholarship Program comprise:

· Students pursuing degrees in education.

· Students achieving academic excellence.

· Students pursuing trades and services within the Career and Technical Education fields of study.

Please consider attending to lend your support to our graduating seniors.

 

 

23rd Annual AEEF Golf Outing2024

23rd Annual AEEF Golf Outing, July 18, 2024

The AEEF 23rd annual Golf Outing took place on Thursday, July 18 at Phillips Park Golf Course, 1001 Hill Avenue, Aurora, IL 0505. This event supports the Mini-Grant Program.   In 2023, the Mini-Grant Program provided financial support for 20 different special projects and programs brought to the AEEF Board for consideration by East Aurora School District 131 teachers and staff.  Over the last ten years, the AEEF has provided over $320,000 in mini-grant awards and looks to support about $30,000 annually. Additionally, funds raised supported scholarships awarded to qualifying District 131 students.

Tom A Hawk Turkey Trot 2024

Tom-A-Hawk Turkey Trot, November 23, 2024

The annual 5K Tom-A-Hawk Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, November 23rd , 2024 at 9 AM in downtown Aurora (309 N. River St. Aurora, 60506). Participants can register on Run Sign Up. ALL proceeds will benefit the Aurora East Educational Foundation and A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools in their support of the over 26,000 public school students on both the East and West sides of Aurora.

Over the Turkey Trot’s brief history, we have raised over $100,000 and look to produce over $50,000 per year, which is split evenly between the AEEF and the A+ Foundation of West Aurora Schools.

Giving Tuesday 2024

Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024

The AEEF will be taking part in Giving Tuesday, also known as the National Day of Giving, which takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving every year. On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, please join us at Spartan House, 1032 Prairie Street, Aurora, IL 60506 at 8:00 PM.   The AEEF uses this event to celebrate the donors and volunteers that help sponsor the programs that make the AEEF successful.   Admission and food are free, there will be prize raffle 50/50 drawing, and camaraderie as we help us Celebrate Education in Aurora.

Although the Foundation receives donations and scholarship throughout the year, the Giving Tuesday event is the final push for scholarships.  Donations of $1,000 or more will be awarded naming rights, and those sponsors will be recognized at the Honors Night.  The AEEF is fortunate enough to have

several memorial and recognition scholarships.   What we have seen in the last few years is for groups of people to come together and sponsor a scholarship, say for example an alumni reunion.

Noche de Honores de East Aurora High School, mayo de 2024

La Fundación Educativa Aurora East (AEEF, por sus siglas en inglés) presentará 27 becas durante la Noche de Honores de East Aurora School District 131, la cual se llevará a cabo el 28 de mayo de 2024. El presidente anunciará los ganadores de las becas y sus patrocinadores esa noche, a la cual el público está invitado a asistir.

Durante los últimos ocho años, la AEEF ha podido proporcionar más de $420,000 en becas para estudiantes. Un número récord de 27 becas, con un total de $54,000 que serán otorgados a merecedores graduandos de East Aurora en la primavera de 2024. Los 3 niveles del Programa de Becas de AEEF comprenden:

  • Estudiantes que proseguirán en carreras en educación.
  • Estudiantes que han alcanzado excelencia académica.

El 23o Evento Anual de Golf de AEEF, tendrá lugar el jueves, 18 de julio en Phillips Park Golf Course, ubicado en 1001 Hill Avenue, Aurora, IL 60505. Este evento apoya al Programa de Mini Subvenciones. En 2023, el Programa de Mini Subvenciones proporcionó apoyo financiero a 20 diferentes proyectos y programas especiales que fueron presentados ante la Junta de la AEEF para ser considerados por los profesores y el personal de East Aurora School District 131. Tom A Hawk Turkey Trot 2024

Carrera del Pavo Tom-A-Hawk, 23 de noviembre de 2024

La anual Carrera del Pavo de 5K Tom-A-Hawk se llevará a cabo el sábado, 23 de noviembre de 2024 a las 9 AM en el centro de Aurora (309 N. River St. Aurora, 60506). Los participantes se pueden registrar en Run Sign Up. TODA la recaudación beneficiará a la Fundación Educativa Aurora East y a A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools en su continuo apoyo a los más de 26,000 estudiantes de las escuelas públicas de los lados este y oeste de Aurora.

A lo largo de la breve historia de la Carrera del Pavo, hemos recaudado más de $100,000 y esperamos generar más de $50,000 por año, lo cual se divide equitativamente entre la AEEF y A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools.

Giving Tuesday 2024

Martes de Donaciones, 3 de diciembre de 2024

La AEEF estará participando en el Martes de Donaciones, también conocido como el Día Nacional de Donaciones, el cual tiene lugar todos los años el martes después del Día de Acción de Gracias. Acompáñenos el martes, 3 de diciembre de 2024 a las 8:00 PM en la Spartan House, ubicada en 1032 Prairie Street, Aurora, IL 60506. La AEEF usa este evento para celebrar a los donantes y voluntarios que contribuyen al patrocinio de los programas que hacen posible el éxito de la AEEF. La entrada y la comida son gratis. Habrá una rifa 50/50 de premios y camaradería a la vez que celebramos la educación en Aurora.

Aunque la Fundación recibe donaciones y becas a lo largo del año, el evento de Martes de Donaciones es el impulso final para las becas. A las donaciones de $1,000 o más se les concederán derechos de denominación y esos patrocinadores serán reconocidos en la Noche de Honores también. La AEEF es lo suficientemente afortunada de tener

varias becas conmemorativas y de reconocimiento. Lo que hemos visto en los últimos años es que grupos de personas se reúnen y patrocinan una beca, como, por ejemplo, una reunión de exalumnos.
