What a day! On September 27, a new playground was built, in one day, at Bardwell Elementary. With the help of a nonprofit organization Kaboom! and CarMax, more than 200 volunteers spent their day helping build the new playground for children.
Bardwell students came out to peek at the progress throughout the day. Volunteers included East Aurora School Board members, employees of CarMax, which funded the project, HB Fuller, Bardwell parents and teachers, the Aurora Kiwanis Club, Pivotal Home Solutions, First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, Community Christian Church, Emergency Management Agency of Aurora, and East High students from the building and trades classes.
Thank you to our partners from Kaboom! and CarMax, as well as ALL who came together on this special project in support of our children and the community. We are so grateful!
