Book Character Pumpkin Decorating ContestConcurso de decoración de calabazas con personajes de libros

Students and families showcased their creativity and love of reading in this year’s Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Participants transformed pumpkins into their favorite storybook characters, combining artistic flair with a love of reading.

 
Entries were submitted in two categories — Created by Student and Family Collaboration — giving everyone an opportunity to shine. From classic tales to modern favorites, each pumpkin brought beloved characters to life and filled the display with color, creativity, and fun.
 
Created by Student:
  • 1st Place – Vanessa Herrera for Tikotl from Axolotl Book for Kids
  • 2nd Place – Jesus Velazquez for Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog
  • 3rd Place – Abdiel Niño for Pokémon from A Friend Like Pikachu!
  • 3rd Place – Ariana Zavala for Nemo from Finding Nemo
 
Family Collaboration:
  • 1st Place – Jaycee Vera for Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland
  • 2nd Place – Kailani Argueta for Miguel from Coco
  • 3rd Place – Mariana Arcos for Derby Tiger from
