Farewell to 5th GradeDespidiendo a los estudiantes de 5o Grado

As the end of the school year draws near, one chapter closes for fifth graders who are preparing to transition from the cozy halls of elementary school to the more challenging, dynamic environment of middle school. For teachers, parents, and students themselves, this is a momentous occasion—a bittersweet goodbye to an era that has shaped their childhood, filled with memories of fun, growth, and lasting friendships. Some students are off to Cowherd, most to Fred Rogers, and a few will leave for other districts. As we say goodbye to our fifth graders, it’s important to celebrate their achievements and the memories they’ve created. Whether it’s the excitement of field trips, the pride in completing their final science project, or the laughter shared during class parties, these are the moments that have shaped their elementary school experience. Our amazing teachers took some time to share their thoughts for our 5th graders, and we would love for you to read what they had to say and enjoy a few fun class pictures. Best wishes to all!

Mrs. Eisenman:  Dear scholars, it was an amazing year! So many fond memories including outdoor education, math games, Ozobots, dissections, Volume City Zoo, the Field Museum, sharing novels, science experiments, Pie Face, the list could go on and on. Keep that curiosity burning bright! Wishing you the best as you head to middle school! Your futures are so bright…..you better wear shades! I’ll miss your smiles!” Love, Mrs. Eisenman

Mr. Savoie:  In our classroom we celebrate all that is weird. To us, being “weird” is a top compliment. It means that you are an individual, perfectly different from each and every other weirdo that we love. To my students: Remember that “Normal is Boring.” What makes you different is what makes you interesting. It’s what makes you uniquely you. Be yourself and forever STAY WEIRD! Ms. Arendt:  Dear students, this year was full of energy, excitement, and a lot of learning. From the Field Museum, to team-building at WalCamp, Ozobots, and all the fun activities we have done this year I have seen a spark in every one of you! Each of you has something that makes you special and worthy of great things. Don’t let anyone dim your light and shine bright in middle school! Lots of love, Ms. Arendt

Mrs. de los Santos:  Dear students, as we wrap up our year, I want to tell you how incredibly proud I am of every one of you. We had an amazing year filled with growth, laughter, and challenges and you embraced every opportunity to shine! Watching you work together and supporting each other as you embraced the beauty of being bilingual learners was inspiring. I am thankful for the memories we created together and I will miss you dearly. Keep dreaming big, working hard, and I can’t wait to hear all about the great things you’ll accomplish in middle school and beyond. Con profundo orgullo y cariño, Mrs. de los Santos

Mrs. Esparza:  As our time together comes to an end, I want you to know how proud I am of each and every one of you. Watching you grow, learn, and support one another this year has been a true joy. As you move on to new adventures, always remember this: you can do anything you set your mind to. Believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up—because you are capable of amazing things.There will be challenges ahead, but don’t forget to look on the bright side. A positive attitude can turn a tough day into a learning moment and help you see just how strong and brave you really are. Siguan siendo amable, sean curiosos y nunca dejen de soñar en grande. Mrs. Sem:  Students, I am so proud of you for working hard since you have been here at Johnson. Some of you have been here since Kindergarten and others since third. I have seen you become a strong individual throughout the school year. I wish you the best as you continue to reach your full potential and follow your dreams. Never give up, and always believe that you can, even when it feels like the world is crazy.

Con la llegada del final del año escolar, se cierra un capítulo para los estudiantes de 5.º grado, quienes se preparan para la transición de los acogedores pasillos de la primaria al entorno más desafiante y dinámico de la secundaria. Para los maestros, padres y los propios estudiantes, esta es una ocasión memorable – una despedida agridulce de una época que marcó su infancia, llena de recuerdos de diversión, crecimiento y amistades duraderas. Algunos estudiantes se van a Cowherd, la mayoría a Fred Rogers y algunos se irán a otros distritos. Al despedirnos de nuestros estudiantes de quinto grado, es importante celebrar sus logros y los recuerdos que han creado. Ya sea la emoción de las excursiones, el orgullo de completar su proyecto final de ciencias o las risas compartidas en las fiestas de clase, estos son los momentos que han marcado su experiencia en la primaria. Nuestros increíbles maestros se tomaron un tiempo para compartir sus pensamientos sobre nuestros estudiantes de 5.º grado, y nos encantaría que leyeran lo que dijeron y disfrutaran de algunas fotos divertidas de la clase. ¡Les deseamos lo mejor a todos!

Sra. Eisenman:  Queridos académicos, ¡ha sido un año increíble! Sr. Savoie:  En nuestra clase celebramos todo lo que es raro. Para nosotros, ser “raro” es un gran cumplido. Significa que eres un individuo, perfectamente diferente de todos y cada uno de los otros raros a los que queremos. A mis estudiantes: Recuerden que “lo normal es aburrido”. Lo que te hace diferente es lo que te hace interesante. Es lo que te hace únicamente tú. ¡Sé tú mismo y SIEMPRE SIGUE SIENDO RARO! ¡Mucha suerte, chicos! Con amor, Sr. Savoie.

Sra. Arendt:  Queridos estudiantes, este año estuvo lleno de energía, entusiasmo y mucho aprendizaje. Desde el Field Museum, a la formación de equipos en WalCamp, Ozobots y todas las divertidas actividades que hemos realizado este año, ¡he visto una chispa en cada uno de ustedes! Sra. Esparza:  Mientras se termina nuestro tiempo juntos, quiero que sepan lo orgullosa que estoy de cada uno de ustedes. Verlos crecer, aprender y apoyarse los unos a los otros este año ha sido una verdadera alegría. Al embarcar en nuevas aventuras, recuerden siempre esto: pueden lograr todo lo que se propongan. Crean en ustedes mismos, trabajen arduamente y nunca se rindan– porque son capaces de cosas increíbles. Habrá desafíos por delante, pero no olviden ver el lado positivo. Una actitud positiva puede convertir un día difícil en un momento de aprendizaje y ayudarlos a ver que tan fuertes y valientes son realmente. Sigan siendo amables, sean curiosos y nunca dejen de soñar en grande. Creo en ustedes y siempre lo haré. ¡Les deseo todo lo mejor en el emocionante viaje que les espera! Con mucho amor, Sra. Esparza

Sra. Sem:  Estudiantes, estoy muy orgullosa de ustedes por trabajar arduamente desde que han estado aquí en Johnson. Algunos de ustedes han estado aquí desde kindergarten y otros desde tercero. Los he visto convertirse en individuos fuertes a través del año escolar. Les deseo lo mejor mientras siguen alcanzando su potencial y siguiendo sus sueños. Nunca se rindan, y siempre crean que pueden, aun cuando parezca que el mundo está loco.
