Mayor Irvin and Working Professionals Inspire Bardwell StudentsEl Alcalde Irvin y Los Profesionales Que Trabajan Inspiran a Los Estudiantes de Bardwell

Bardwell’s 4th and 5th graders were treated to a rousing speech by Aurora’s mayor, Richard Irvin on May 14. His inspiring speech challenged students to work hard in school and be the best versions of themselves. He followed it up with a question and answer session. His visit comes about a week after several other working professionals visited the school for Career Day. During the event, students met with an attorney, police officers, firepersons, a detective, musicians, and many other professionals. Special thanks to Assistant Principal Michelle Kandl for coordinating and organizing these events to motivate students to start thinking about all of the possibilities their futures hold. 

Los alumnos de quatro y cinco grado de Bardwell escucharon un conmovedor discurso del alcalde de Aurora, Richard Irvin, el 14 de mayo. Su inspirador discurso desafió a los estudiantes a trabajar duro en la escuela y ser la mejor versión de sí mismos. Siguió con una sesión de preguntas y respuestas. Su visita se produce aproximadamente una semana después de que varios otros profesionales en activo visitaran la escuela para el Día de la Carrera. Durante el evento, los estudiantes se reunieron con un abogado, policías, bomberos, un detective, músicos y muchos otros profesionales. Un agradecimiento especial a la subdirectora Michelle Kandl por coordinar y organizar estos eventos para motivar a los estudiantes a comenzar a pensar en todas las posibilidades que les depara el futuro.
