This year we will implement “Star Student” awards monthly, with 1 winner per month per classroom receiving a Star Student T-shirt. For October, the category is Respect! Respect means treating others the way you want to be treated. Students who earn the Respect Award show kindness, listen to others, and use polite words and actions. They take care of their classroom, follow school rules, and value everyone’s differences. This student is a role model who makes our school a safe and welcoming place for all! We hope to celebrate students who do what they are supposed to do, all the time. On November 3^rd during announcements, we announced the Star Student for each classroom and the students visited the office to get their t-shirt.

On the first school day of each month, we will announce the winners from the previous month.

Our planned awards by month are:

Oct – Respect (Nov 3)
Nov – Responsible
Dec – Safe
Jan – Attendance
Feb – MAP Growth
March – Acts of Kindness
April – Responsible / Safe
May – Respect / Safe

The focus areas could change depending on our behavior / attendance / needs that month but we will keep you informed of any changes.

Este año implementaremos el premio de “Estudiante Estrella” cada mes habrá un ganador por salón de clases que recibirá una camiseta. ¡En octubre, la categoría es Respeto! Respeto significa tratar a los demás como uno quiere ser tratado. Los estudiantes que obtienen el Premio al Respeto demuestran amabilidad, escuchan a los demás y se expresan con cortesía. Cuidan su salón de clases, siguen las normas escolares y valoran la diversidad. ¡Este estudiante es un ejemplo a seguir que hace de nuestra escuela un lugar seguro y acogedor para todos! Esperamos celebrar a los estudiantes que siempre cumplen con sus responsabilidades. El 3 de noviembre, durante los anuncios, se anunció al Estudiante Estrella de cada salón y los estudiantes pasaron por la oficina para recoger su camiseta.

Anunciaremos a los ganadores del mes anterior, el primer día de clases de cada mes.

Las fechas en que planeamos entregar los premios cada mes son:

Octubre – Respeto (3 de noviembre)
Noviembre – Responsabilidad
Diciembre – Seguridad
Enero – Asistencia
Febrero – Crecimiento en MAP
Marzo – Actos de amabilidad
Abril – Responsabilidad/Seguridad
Mayo – Respeto/Seguridad

Las áreas de enfoque podrían cambiar dependiendo de nuestra conducta / asistencia / necesidades del mes, pero los mantendremos informados sobre los cambios.
