FRMA families,

Please take a moment to read these important messages:

Chromebook Collection
All students will turn in their Chromebooks and chargers during the last full week of school (May 27th -May 30th). The devices will be checked for needed repairs by our district’s Technology department. Students who are entering 9th grade will be issued a new device; students entering 7th and 8th grade will have their Chromebook returned to them at the start of the school year in August.

Please continue to encourage your student to take care of their Chromebook throughout the remainder of the school year.

Student Council’s ABC Countdown
Monday 5/19 P – PJ Day
Tuesday 5/20 Q – Quirky Day (wear a outfit mixed with different patterns and colors)
Wednesday 5/21 R – Rainbow Day (wear multiple colors of the rainbow)
Thursday 5/22 S – Selfie Day (get a selfie with your friends before or after school)
Friday 5/23 T – Triplet Day (twin with two other friends)

Panel Discussion & Resource Fair on Access to Disability Services for the Spanish Speaking Community
There will be an informative event in Spanish to support Spanish speaking families with loved ones who have intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Prisco Community Center, 150W. Illinois Ave, Aurora IL, 60506 on Saturday, May 17 from 10:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. RSVP’s are not required but encouraged! There will be an expert panel who will dice into critical topics, including local services available in Kane County, understanding special education legal rights, and empowering Know Your Rights information. The panel discussion will start at 10:15 A.M.-11:15 A.M.

After the panel, connect one-on-one with local service providers, get your questions answered, and discover valuable resources that can help you and your family’s needs. Childcare available! See flyer here.

Coffee with the Principal
Join us for our last meeting of the school year on Thursday, May 22nd in the LRC from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Let’s end the school year with summer resources and breakfast. If you were a parent volunteer, please attend this meeting if your schedule allows. We would like to appreciate everyone who has supported and helped out this school year. Summer Sports Camps
EASD 131 Summer Sports Academy registration for students in K-8th grade is now open. You have until May 30, 2025 to register your student for this free program at https://eahs.8to18.com/. Look for the K-8th Grade Basketball Camp and K-8th Grade Soccer Camp titles when you Click to Browse Camps.

Birth to Five Illinois
You are cordially invited to a virtual community meeting on May 21, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. in English and on May 22, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. in Spanish. Join Birth to Five Illinois: Region 31 for an important discussion on progress for parents, caregivers, and children in Kane County. Hear updates on our impactful local work and learn how you can get involved. African American Parent Association (AAPA)

There will be a BPAC meeting on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Administrative Center, 310 Seminary Ave, Aurora, IL, 60505 from 6:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M.

Recogida de Chromebook
Todos los estudiantes entregarán sus Chromebooks y cargadores durante la última semana de clases (27-30 de mayo). Panel de Discusión y Feria de Recursos sobre el Acceso a los Servicios de Discapacidad para la Comunidad de Habla Hispana
Habrá un evento informativo en español para apoyar a las familias de habla hispana con seres queridos que tienen discapacidades intelectuales y de desarrollo en Prisco Community Center, 150W. Illinois Ave, Aurora IL, 60506 el sábado, 17 de mayo de 10:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. ¡no es necesario confirmar la asistencia, pero agradeceríamos que lo hiciera! Habrá un panel de expertos que hablará sobre temas críticos, incluyendo los servicios locales disponibles en Kane County, comprender los derechos legales de educación especial y el empoderamiento de la información para Conocer Sus Derechos.
