On November 9th the NJROTC Program participated in the Annual Veteran Days Breakfast to honor local veterans from past wars and conflicts at Simmons Middle School. The event included breakfast, welcoming comments from Principal Patterson, a moment of thanks and gratitude from teacher and organizer Mr. David Williams, brief comments from all veterans in attendance, reciting the pledge of allegiance, reflections from the NJROTC cadets. There was also a questions and answers session at the end that included one-on-one conversations between the students, cadets, and veterans. This was an outstanding educational experience for our students!
