Congratulations to our NJROTC Academic Team, who recently qualified for the national Academic Bowl! The Team competed in the Junior Leadership and Academic Bowl, and was one of eight finalists nationwide to qualify for the Championship in Washington, DC, June 21-25.
East Aurora High School’s JROTC team earned top scores out of the 200 Navy JROTC teams that competed from around the world. The team is one of only eight Navy JROTC Academic Bowl teams in the nation to advance to the finals. During the two fast-paced preliminary rounds, students were tested on their knowledge of JROTC curriculum, English, Math, and Science. One of the main goals of the JROTC Academic Bowl is to prepare students for state exit/graduation exams as well as college entrance exams, such as the SAT and ACT.
Our Tomcats withstood a very competitive field and proved their academic strength. Best of luck as they seek top honors in the National Championship.
