Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies.  I have taught at Cowherd Middle School for 10 years.  I have a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in mathematics from National Louis University.   I also have a Social Studies, Language Arts and English As A Second Language Endorsement.   I  am a single mom with two children, Jaxon who is 22 and a senior in college and Ava who is 17 and senior in high school.

This year we will study The Industrial Revolution through Present Day US History.  I strive to make History come alive for my students, by incorporating current events, projects, group activities and games into the classroom experience.  I am excited to bring my creativity to Social Studies as we apply skills in different ways.  I focus on a growth mindset, encouraging everyone to take risks and make learning a life long process.
