District 131 greatly values the support of our schools from business leaders, community members and elected officials.

Beyond our own curriculum, we believe our students can benefit from special guest visitors and guest presentations. These visits also allow our community, businesses, and elected officials, the opportunity to experience first-hand our school environments and the excellence in learning taking place within our District 131 schools.

Balanced with this value is the need to maintain a consistent learning environment. In order to ensure the academic success of all students, our primary focus must always be on learning. We know that each instructional minute of the school day is precious, and so we make every attempt to minimize distractions and variations to the school day.
